Jason Hill, Member-at-Large, chairs our Membership Committee. He works as a truck driver on the yard of a shipping company. He enjoys sports, especially baseball, and trying to stop his wife from bringing home more animals. He began ballroom dancing with his wife Kay 3 years ago after his friend's wedding, where he told her he'd dance with her, "if I knew how." Wayne Lass is a retired recording engineer, and video producer and editor. His hobbies include Model Railroading (building model trains big enough to ride!), helping his wife with her formal garden, video and audio production, and of course, dancing. He has been dancing for 2 years, and wonders “what took so long!” The more he dances, the more difficult it seems to get. But lessons with Cara Dominick are a pure joy, and always seem to help make things right. |
Barbara Lass is a Director for Shaklee Corporation, a leader in the Health and Wellness industry. Barbara skated professionally with Holiday On Ice for 7 years. She married her high school sweetheart and raised 2 sons. She taught Sunday school and bible class for 25 years. She cared for her granddaughter for 3 years, and now helps her aging mother. She still skates weekly, taking lessons in ice dance. Barbara and Wayne participated in a dance clinic at an ice dance weekend 2 years ago, and were both “hooked”. “This is an activity in which we can share the learning experience and accomplishments, and just simply enjoy together.”
